11/02: married my wondermous husband S. Immediately started TTC.
much of 2003: OB/GYN insisted that the only reason I couldn't get pregnant was that I am overweight.
2004: OB/GYN conceded that Clomid might help matters. 5 useless clomid cycles.
10/2004: Our fabulous Foster Son, J came to live with us
8/2005: started seeing an RE
2/2006: 1st IUI cycle failed
3/2006: 2nd IUI cycle failed
6/2006: 3rd IUI cycle failed.
7/2006: "Final" IUI cycle. Looked like it failed... I started bleeding before my beta, but it turned into a very low beta: 23.8
8/2006: Hey, you're not miscarrying, your beta keeps doubling! And look at that beautiful heartbeat!
9/8/06: Discharged from fertility clinic. Off to OB land with healthy heartbeat and 95% odds of carrying to term.
10/4/06: A reason for the bleeding comes to light... a subchorionic bleed is diagnosed, but the fetus is healthy and happy on ultrasound. Fingers and toes accounted for. Perfect beating heart. Perfect growth and development.
10/9/06: Columbus Day. Miscarriage at 12 weeks, one day gestation. Subsequent D&C.
1/07: 5th IUI fails
2/14/07: 6th ("final") IUI. I assume it is doomed to fail b/c my life isn't nearly cliche enough to conceive on Valentine's Day (besides, I don't celebrate Valentine's Day!)
2/24/07: Positive HPT. Faint, but definitely positive. Subsequent positive HPTs on 2/25, 2/26, 2/27...
2/28/07: Beta 228. Strong, strong positive. I begin to worry I have twins, but realize that I'm still well within average for the range for singletons.
3/8/07: Two gestational sacs.
3/13/07: THREE gestational sacs
3/16/07: One heartbeat, two smaller sacs
3/20/07: Three heartbeats
9/19/07: Sam, Ellie, and Abby were born.
10/13/07: Sam, Ellie, and Abby were discharged from the NICU
